SERVICE ESTIMATOR/ PROJECT MANAGER



Work toward providing complete Field Estimating, such as:


Go to customer’s house, collect information, take pictures, get relevant information, put together bid and consummate sale with customer.


  • - Understand + pinpoint parameters of competitive advantage and market forces to position + determine the pricing of estimate.
  • -  Generate quality submittals per job specifications to the best of your ability. Adaptable learner + improve each time. Learn for every submittal as
  • to lower the amount of help you need each time.
  • - Work with job superintendents or Project managers to help build specialty
  • submittals.
  • - Ability to intuitively manage priorities and execute accordingly as projects come
  • - Create estimates for all small residential and plumbing estimates. 
  • - Project manage residential and your design build project. 
  • -Provide change orders to reconcile project to scope performed. Provide support to residential electrician by providing submittals and hunting down specialty items to solve
  • specific problems.
  • -  Procure lighting submittals and place orders to match the project being built.
  • - Learn new estimating program and support lead estimators on all scale projects



Physical Requirements:

 Must be able to sit at a desk for a period of 6-8 hours a day, while estimating.

 Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

 Must be able to climb ladders up to 16’

 Must be able to enter confined spaces including attics and crawl spaces.

 Lift weight up to 50 lbs as needed.

RETAIL SALES & PURCHASE AGENT

General Duties:

1. Make retail sales to local contractors and General public and FBE employees.

2. Receive merchandise and reconcile to purchase orders, FBE & Two Short Sales.

3.  Make all stock orders for Two Short Sale stocked items. Maintain proper stock levels.

4. Track & Maintain special orders from order date to the delivery to site of product. (Know where product is stored once it is physically received)  

5.  Maintain proper personal in shop at all times. 1 person

6.  Keep Shop organized and clean.  

7.   Manage shop person and train.

8.   Manage FBE tools and check out system.

9.  FBE or Mark special projects.

10.  Manage shop personnel.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Check out materials for FBE employees
  • Assist Retail sales customers and generate sales
  • Manage the special order shelf. Get materials to the job or the responsible persons.
  • Receive material, tag merchandise and restock shelves
  • Back up delivery person,  Must always have at least one shop person in shop.
  • Build orders for FBE out of town projects. (As needed)
  • Gather tools and equipment for FBE projects. (As needed)
  • Cross train new shop employee and show how to order and receive merchandise.
  • Manage and train FBE personnel on check out policies
  • Count cash daily.  Close out Jonas program and email Mark + Angela 


Weekly Tasks:

  • Clean shop inside and out
  • Make sure we are getting good pricing on merchandise.
  • Identify special projects that need attention, create a plan and implement it. 
  • Produce Jonas reports to maintain proper stock levels.  
  • Negative inventory, Inventory evaluation, reorder logs.
  • Make sure we return unneeded merchandise through Luke. 


Position Work Hours:

7:00 Am- 4:00 PM Monday-Saturday |  8:00-1:00 PM  (This will be flexible until trained)


How to be successful in this position (the blueprint!):

  • Learn and be a proficient purchasing agent
  • Manage and train shop personnel
  • Think of ideas to clean and maintain a clean organized shop
  • Help improve upon our current system for tracking Special Orders from receipt to delivery for FBE personnel. 
  • Help improve a tool check out system and tracks our tools then create a dedicated space for each tool
  • Help us solve the upstairs storage problem
  • Create more goodwill with customers and increase our retail sales
  • Work positively everyday and enjoy yourself


PAY: Negotiable based off experience.
